Most enjoyed

My most enjoyed moment is when we were not allowed to use our phone most of the time. This is because we were all able to communicate and i was able to get vloser to frens and even make new frens.

Most difficult

My most difficult moment is tomorrow which when we will have to say goodbyes to each other as sch is starting soon and all of us will not be as close as this trip.

One thing i learnt at the sufficiency project

One thing i learnt is that we should not take things that we have which others dont for granted and that if we do not want anything, we should try our best to share with others if possible.

What would u like to act differently

I would want to share whatever i have that i do not want if others before thinking of throwing it away

Day 3 reflection by nabiel

What have the past three days of learning service meant to you

For the past three days, learning service to me is that we learnt from them and them learning from us something that is new. For example, I learn the thai language only a little bit but it is still a new language and that we can also able to communicate with the thai students and know more about their culture. Learning service also meant that we will do some voluntary works like painting the basketball court. I feel that this is how i show appreciation to them for allowing us to come and that the court will be used alot by the students.

What experiences have impacted you and how

One experience is when we paint the court under the hot sun for three days. For the past three days, we need to persevere through and finish the court.this have impacted me in the sense that with high expectations comes high commitment. Also, this have impacted me alot that we should be appreciative of what we have and use them meaningfully. Why i say this is because from what i see during recess was that most of the kids go around the school and use the courts available for them. This is due to rarely using of gadgets and more of physical activities to communicate and bond with each other.

Day 2 reflection by nabiel

Highlight of the day

To me personally, the highlight of the day is when i was able to use the notes of thai words to communicate with them better and that we bonded more with each other unlike the previous which we were just teaching them as one class and not in small groups. When we did small groups the students were able to understand better in what we are teaching.

Lowlight of the day

The lowlight of the day is when i i forg to bring the coins for the mathematics and that i feel guilty for the mistake that i make since both of my roommates are sick and that i am the only one that is not falling sick. Therefore, volunteer to do Zamir’s part and make sure i give my best in the mathematics.

What i learnt on the day

Firstly , i learnt that everything will not always go as plan and that we have to adapt and improvise with what we have to make things successful. Like Mr Yeo says, “there is always another way to do something until u give up”.

Secondly, i learnt that life is unfair as from the learning journey i learnt that the Japanese are friends with the Thailand but did not want to be friends to other countries.

first impression of school

The school is more modern than i expected.The students were very hype and unexpectedly to be very participative.

I was surprised that the kids were hitting each other’s head when we were told to not hit their head.

confident level (of urself or team )

I was zero in my confident level as i wasnt able to communicate with them.

best moment you had

It was when we played duck duck goose with the p5 as they were more active than the p2.

Local VIA @ Willing Hearts-Nabiel

One difficulty that I faced during the VIA is that I was not feeling so good on that day and that i have to persevere to do the VIA. i had a blackout after doing the work for awhile so i went to rest for awhile till i feel better. i then continued to work with the rest.

2 things that i have done well is firstly, i have persevere through the whole entire work even though of my disability at that day. Secondly, i was able to finish the work in time.

one thing i learn about myself is that i cant take it looking at food but i am not eating it.One thing i learn about the team is that all of us have teamwork to finish the work efficiently.One takeaway i learn is that we need to be puntual at all time and need to have a sense of urgency.
